Benzos and Alcohol
Xanax, Valium, and Halcion are all benzodiazepines. They are very relaxing drugs, and alcohol amplifies the effects.
I’m taken a few .5mgs of xanax with some wine or beer before, and there was only one time that I seem to have blacked out, and apparently no one I was around could tell I was on drugs, they just said I looked disinterested in dinner. I didn’t even think I had eaten dinner at all when I woke up the next morning.
It is very, very easy to black out and combining the two isn’t a safe idea. I tend to be pretty careful on dosage when I abuse any drugs, and sometimes this combination really allows me to relax,.. but I still don’t recommend it to anyone. It is just too easy to take to black out.
Same with other sedating pills. Like Ambien, it can be a lot of fun (as long as its not extended release.), but add alcohol, and you get raped, wind up with a bathing suit for underwear, pee your pants while dancing beside a bush beside a gas station and have to a friend drive home as you sit on a large plastic Bed Bath and Beyond bag… I’ve seen it happen, and I was the one stuck dealing with this person on the car ride as they kept falling asleep and then asking “what’s going on?” when they wake back up. It’s not fun to have to make a person that drugged keep humming so you know they aren’t dead. (It’s a looonnnng story.)
Basically, don’t mix the two around other people, or you will likely get raped. Yeah.. I think that’s the point.
